My divorce agreement stated that my ex-husband would be responsible for all back taxes for his business. After our divorce, since he is self-employed the IRS tried to garner my wages to pay off his extensive past taxes. Also, there was a lien on my house from a past bad business dealing of my ex-husband’s which they would not lift even though my ex-husband’s name had never been on the deed. I was not able to refinance my house without lifting the lien. I hired Brad to help me resolve these issues. He was able to work with the IRS to reduce the tax amount they said I owed (about $175,000) to $30,000 which I borrowed from a relative to pay off the IRS and get them off my back. Then Brad assisted me in successfully suing my ex-husband for the $30,000 which he was ordered by the court to pay back to me. As for the lien on my house, Brad worked tirelessly to remove the lien which wasn’t an easy task. It took a lot of time and technical knowledge to finally get the town and state to lift the lien. I could not have done this by myself.
