Tax Payment Options/IRS Installment Agreements

  • A great option if you owe $10K or less

Simple Payment Plan

  • Gives individuals up to 10 years to repay up to $50,000 in back taxes.
  • IRS Form 9465 Installment Agreement Request or Online Payment Agreement or Online Payment Agreement Application (OPA)

Verified Financial Statement Installment Agreement

  • A great option if you owe over $100,000 or you cannot pay off the balance by the CSED (collection statute expiration date). In some cases, the IRS requires financial verification if you owe over $50,000, but in other cases, they don't require verification unless you owe over $250,000, are working with a revenue agent, or have a history of default.

Streamlined Installment Agreement

  • For in-operation businesses that owe up to $25,000 in non-payroll tax debt or for out-of-operation businesses that owe up to $25,000 in any type of tax debt ($50,000 for out-of-business sole props).
  • Contact the IRS directly, or use Form 9465 if no longer operating.
