About William Marutzky
Bill is an attorney and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) whose practice focuses on asset protection, business planning, estate planning, and tax controversies. He frequently presents at seminars and professional conferences on all of these subject matters, and he was a law professor at DePaul University and at Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He also taught business classes at DePaul University, Northern Illinois University, and North Central College.
After earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Master of Science (MS) in accounting from Northern Illinois University, Bill earned a Master of Tax Law (LLM) from DePaul University and a Juris Doctorate with Honors from IIT/Chicago-Kent College of Law
He is licensed to practice before the Federal District Courts in Illinois and Wisconsin, the US 7th Circuit, the US Court of Claims, the US. Tax Court and the US Supreme Court. Previously, he was chair of Federal Tax Procedures Committees for the Chicago Bar Association and also for the Illinois CPA Society.
