About Steven Klitzner
Steven N. Klitzner is an attorney who focuses on IRS problem resolution. He represents individual and business clients in front of the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
A 1979 graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, Steve has been a solo practitioner since 1993. In 2021, he was appointed to a three-year term with the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council (IRSAC), an advisory board that proposed enhancements to IRS operations, policies, and collection procedures. The IRSAC helps to ensure that the IRS works for taxpayers.
He is also a member of the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers and has even received the organization's Top Practitioner Award. He is an Advisory Board and Consulting Member of the Tax Freedom Institute, an association of tax professionals in defense of taxpayer rights.
