She went through all of my back taxes, explained how we were going to tackle them, helped me negotiate an installment agreement, and fought on my behalf to get penalties and fees waived, saving me thousands! In 2019, my sister had passed away and I inherited a property that we (my sister and I) had inherited from our mom when she passed in 2006. It turns out that Jess and I had been doing our taxes incorrectly for years. Stephanie and her team went through nearly a decade of my tax returns to sort out the mess and figure out what we owed for a VERY reasonable price. Instead of me having to pay a massive tax bill (imagine $150,000 in unpaid taxable income), she created a solution to span the income claim over a 4 year period to allow for a manageable recovery. I'm sure I'm describing this poorly because I don't know the ins and outs of it all, but needless to say I am SO DARN GRATEFUL that Stephanie cleared everything up. May I also add, on a personal note, that as of 2 weeks ago, the 4 year tax reconciliation plan has been completed :) Going forward, everything will be back to normal!
