About John A. Ecton
Ecton Law Firm, PA was formed in April 2004 in Columbia, South Carolina. After the mortgage crisis of 2008, we saw an influx of clients with large unmanageable federal and state tax problems. We immediately made it our daily focus to solve these tax problems. Our MISSION and belief was to simply improve our clients lives by relieving them of the anxiety, fear and stress of IRS and State Tax Problems.
Experience Matters. By focusing on IRS and State tax problems exclusively, we developed the experience necessary to handle any tax problem. We became members of the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers ("ASTPS" a national, non-profit organization of tax professionals fighting for troubled taxpayers) and the National Association of Tax Professionals in order to stay on top of the laws and regulations affecting tax resolution. We authored the book "IRS Tax Solutions - Learn the Secrets of Solving Your IRS Problem" published in 2017. We have been honored several years by Greater Columbia Business Monthly as a "Legal Elite of the Midlands" for work in Tax Law Controversies. John Ecton became Certified as a Tax Resolution Specialist by ASTPS.
The entire focus of Ecton Law Firm is to help solve tax problems for the LOCAL community. That local community grew into North Carolina in 2015 with the opening of our office in Charlotte. Tax Problem Resolution is basically all we do and have done since 2010. With an BBB A+ rating, we are truly the LOCAL professional you can trust with your tax problem.
