I met Joe Hopkins about 6 months ago and first, he wanted to work with me to analyze a potential fraud case and what we can do to ensure the client wouldn't receive a civil penalty for fraud. Second, we are jointly working a case now where we are attempting to remove a late filing penalty. We spoke to the IRS several times and afterward, prepared a protest letter for both IRS cases.
