We reached out to Jessica at Big Orange Advisors after serious medical issues caused us to fall behind on our taxes. Our experience with her initially was excellent. She was responsive, pleasant to work with, answered our questions, handled our tax preparation promptly, and we were very pleased with the work she did.

Jessica also told us that once the returns were filed and processed and the exact penalties were known, she would work with us on penalty abatement. She has also been communicating directly with the IRS Revenue Officer regarding our case.

Our returns have now been filed and processed, the taxes have been paid, and we have been trying to reach her for a month to move forward with the penalty-abatement work. She specifically told us not to respond to any correspondance from the IRS before speaking to her and sending her a copy. The notices are coming in but we haven't been able to reach Jessica for over a month.

We have emailed, texted, submitted messages through the website, and left multiple phone messages. I also spoke with her husband, who told me she would call me back, but she never did.

Because Jessica has been the one in contact with the Revenue Officer, the lack of communication has left us unsure about the status of our case and how we are supposed to proceed. At this point, we simply need a response telling us whether she is still willing to handle the penalty-abatement work she previously discussed with us. If she no longer wants to handle it, that is fine, but after a month of repeated attempts to contact her, we should at least be told that so we can make other arrangements.

I hate that our experience ended this way because Jessica did a very good job with our tax preparation. Based on our experience, I would recommend Big Orange Advisors for preparing and filing tax returns, but I would not recommend relying on them for ongoing representation, follow-up work, or penalty abatement.

Jessica has helped not only myself but several clients become current and stay that way.

Unfortunately, my experience with Jessica was incredibly frustrating. She was consistently rude, dismissive, and difficult to communicate with. Rather than offering help or clarity, she made the process more stressful than it needed to be. I was genuinely shocked by the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy. It’s not someone I’d ever choose to work with again, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend her to others.
