Software for Tax Resolution Firms and Pros
If you're a tax professional who offers (or is thinking about offering) tax resolution services, you may want to look into software that can help you improve processes and save time. In the following sections, we look at software that helps with transcript analysis, firm management software, and software that helps you call the IRS more easily. We work with many tax resolution professionals from around the country and the software listed below are the ones that receive the highest praise from professionals that use them.
Transcript Analysis
Transcript analysis tools make it easy to get tax transcripts for your clients. Typically, you upload a Power of Attorney or Tax Information Authorization, and when the IRS processes that document, you can instantly download the tax transcripts you need from the software. Here is the most common transcript analyzer tool:
Tax Help Software (THS) IRS Transcript Tools
This software generates easy-to-understand reports based on IRS transcript data. Designated as an Intermediate Service Provider by the IRS, Tax Help Software's Transcript Tool leverages decades of tax pro knowledge and experience to determine which transcripts need to be ordered. Since 2009, tax professionals have used this system to download over 2 billion transcripts.
The software also examines previously filed client returns so that you can calculate future fees, find missing tax credits, and identify risky claims. This tool saves you time, improves the onboarding process with clients, and monitors clients' IRS accounts so that you are aware of notices or other issues.
Roger W. Nemeth, EA, decided to create this program after noticing how much time the enrolled agents at his firm were wasting ordering and waiting for tax transcripts. He initially looked for a transcript analyzer product, but after realizing that one didn't exist, he invented Tax Help Software in 2009.

Other Software for Tax Pros
There is also software that can make it easier for tax pros to contact the IRS over the phone. Take a look:
enQ
enQ is a service that helps tax pros reach the IRS's general line, over 15 specialized IRS departments, and the CA FTB quickly and efficiently. Its website says that it reduces hold times by up to 90%, saving time for you and reducing costs for clients.
It creates extended IRS interaction times by letting you call the IRS outside of your local time zone restrictions—as long as the agency is open in another time zone, you can call. It also prevents courtesy disconnects from the IRS and allows tax pros to call the IRS while their client is on the line. You can also use this process to speed up IRA transcript retrieval by faxing the POA/tax information request to the agent while you're on the phone.
As of 2024, the service is $300 per month or $3000 per year. You receive 30,000 credits per month and unused credits roll to the next month.
