Anxious, stressed, scared, depressed, overwhelmed, paranoid and helpless. This and worse is what I felt dealing with agents for several years of personal and business IRS and state tax debt. Why did I try to handle it myself? I did not know better. I felt pressured from the agencies to get financials/documents submitted by unreasonable deadlines. Gerry saved my life!!!! What appeared to be a 50,000 to 80,000 back tax liability rose to several hundreds of thousands of dollars when the IRS tried to kick in interest and penalties, primarily due to their delays. Even though the debt was due to employee negligence, the IRS tried to get the US attorney's office to indict me criminally which would have RUINED my law business in my region where I and my family are well known. The publicity of being charged criminally could have destroyed me even if I would have been acquitted down the road. Gerry worked tirelessly to prepare my defense. His preparation caused the US Attorney to agree that there was no evidence of criminal conduct. He had the civil auditor with the IRS so frustrated and befuddled that the Civil Statute of limitations eventually ran out on both years in question and the entire fiasco was closed with no tax liability. I ended up paying the IRS 0. I have been a litigator for over 45 years and his work for me was beyond brilliant. Quite honestly, in light of the service Gerry provided for me, it is an understatement to say that it is my privilege to be able to write this review. He is a great tax Attorney and a terrific man. Finally, his charges were more than reasonable. My life could have turned into a mess if I had not hired him. His background as an accountant and ex IRS agent makes him incredibly qualified as an Attorney to help someone with Tax related issues.
