About Ron Friedman
Resolving back taxes owed and/or filing delinquent tax returns are problems are a ticking time bomb. The longer you wait, the louder the bang. And the bang comes in the form of forced tax collection: Wage Garnishments, Bank Levies and/or asset seizure; the taxing authorities have the power and resources to make forced tax collection serious business. At Ron Friedman, CPA AKA Tax Relief Pro, I take a systematic approach in resolving tax issues. I take the guesswork out of fixing tax issues with respect and dignity. Sometimes, bad things happen to good people.
All tax problems are as unique as the taxpayers who have them. No two solutions will ever look the same. The first step is a complete assessment of a taxpayer’s situation by examining taxpayer transcripts. Transcripts are the bomb schematics and guide us in ways to diffuse the issue(s).
Since all tax debts are date driven, part of our analysis ensures that the taxes claimed as owed are actually owed by the taxpayer. A 2013 audit by the Federal Treasury Inspector found errors approximately 40% of the Collection Statute Expiration dates, costing the American public millions of dollars. I’ve shaved years off of tax collection statutes and as a result and, saved taxpayers significant sums of money from these dating errors in the form of penalty abatements, Innocent Spouse defenses and/or IRS Audits.
An in-depth interview follows, where we measure the client’s ability to enter into a resolution option. Those options may include: filing delinquent returns, full or partial payment plan, Offer in Compromise, Currently Not Collectible or Bankruptcy Discharge. Once a course of action is decided upon, I advocate on behalf of the taxpayer, with the taxing authority, to accept the tax resolution, all based on IRS rules and regulations. Sometimes we don’t agree. If a situation warrants it, I will take a matter to the IRS Office of Independent Appeals, where I have had success in defending taxpayers’ rights.
If you owe any back taxes or just want to get on track and take control of your financial life, read the client testimonials posted below. If you are ready for relief, contact my office for a complimentary case evaluation.
