About Richard E. Norton
I retired from the IRS as the Associate Chief in the Appeals Division. My 34 years of IRS service included positions of Revenue Officer, Revenue Agent, Large Case Agent, Computer Audit Specialist, Field Examination Group Manager, and for my last 19 years - Associate Chief in the Appeals Division. My primary focus for my practice is conflict resolution - representing clients in audit, collection and appeals matters. I have also provided expert witness testimony in the California Superior Court on tax matters and procedures. I do prepare a limited number of Federal and state personal income tax returns. I have an associate who can assist with the preparation of corporate, exemption organization and employment tax returns. As an enrolled agent and federally authorized tax practitioner, I can represent clients most anywhere in the world. More information is available at dicknortontaxes.
