Neo is a fantastic tax researcher. I’m in the renewable energy space, and the tax rules within that arena necessarily cover decades of tax planning. Neo is unique in that he will walk with you through your circumstances, dive into the legal rules, present strategies, and supplement all of his recommendations with direct sources. Too often, more “established” tax attorneys just want to give you their “expert opinion,” state it as fact, charge a ridiculous hourly rate for it, and then leave you with no real assurances. This may work if there is a legal consensus around an issue, but that’s not the case in the renewable energy space. So, when Neo does his research, he makes sure to cite the language of court cases, statutes, regulations, and expert commentary. It’s a pretty penny to pay for the right legal analysis, but Neo charges a lot less per hour than the other attorneys who just want you to “to take their word for it.”

Neo is patient, knowledgeable, and thorough. His legal research and preparedness to represent me in front of authorities is unmatched. It was evident throughout the process that he handled my case with care and attention. His bespoke recommendations saved me a lot of time, money, and stress.

I've been an ex-pat for about 20 years now.
