I worked with Lucy Petry during her time as an adjunct professor for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program at South Texas College of Law Houston. Under her leadership, we assisted taxpayers on site and at remote locations such as the local YMCA, women's shelters, and other safeway homes. Through that year working with Lucy, we assisted hundreds of low-income, indigent, senior, military, and resident alien taxpayers efficiently and with great care and detail.
