I'm a US citizen who holds a durable power of attorney for a close family-like friend from South India who is no longer in the US and doesn't expect to return. He sold real estate with me as his POA and a large excess of his closing payment was withheld by the IRS. Getting this excess refunded was the headache of all times since it seems the IRS never actually credited him with the payment! Instead after he filed his Federal Tax showing the 1099 they started sending him notices dunning payment which became seriously threatening. Calling the IRS (they never picked up after 12 hours on hold) and writing them was useless and aggravating. And now my friend was in serious need of the money. Well in 2019 I was out of the country and was forced to sell my home here in the USA. When the sale was happening the realtor let me know that because I was out of the country the IRS was going to take a percentage of the sale. It was a good amount they kept. Krish has been great about everything. Communication was unbelievable. To me it seemed like I could reach him at anytime. Days, evening's and even weekends. He responded quickly all the time.
