About Katrina Ruff
By becoming an Enrolled Agent, Katrina achieved the highest credential offered by the Internal Revenue Service. In addition to being an Enrolled Agent, she is also a Certified Tax Resolution Specialist. This means that Katrina has dedicated hundreds of additional hours to learning the intricacies of tax laws and regulations to better represent taxpayers and help them with their tax problems.
Katrina does not prepare any tax returns and dedicates her time to resolving tax problems and responding to tax notices. She focuses on helping ease clients’ burdens and the stress that comes from dealing with the Internal Revenue Service and state tax authorities, helping to make things a little easier and allowing them to focus on what’s important.
Katrina represents business and individual taxpayers. She has represented numerous taxpayers throughout the world during her career. She has successfully negotiated various resolution agreements including, but not limited to, Installment Agreements, Offers in Compromise, relief from penalties and resulting interest, relief from and release of various liens, levies, and garnishments, and has also successfully advocated for taxpayers during complex audits.
Katrina’s representation and strategies are tailored specifically to the needs and circumstances of each client. She analyzes the unique circumstances involved in each situation so she can convey them to the taxing authorities to effectively resolve certain tax issues.
By advocating and negotiating directly with the taxing authorities, Katrina becomes the direct point of contact with the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities. This helps make the resolution process more efficient, less confusing, and less stressful.
Katrina stands up to taxing authorities and does not shy away from a good fight with them in the interest of advocating for her clients.
