About John Niemann
I started my career in 1980 working for large, international accounting firms serving big companies and their owners. Over time, I realized that lots of smaller businesses needed help dealing with the IRS but couldn’t afford to hire a big firm. So, I founded my own firm in 1991 to exclusively serve small businesses and their owners and help with tax issues. Though the numbers are smaller, the issues are every bit as complex. I am a CPA, licensed in Missouri, though I serve clients throughout the US. When you hire me, you won’t need to worry that your case has been passed on to a low-level staffer. I personally work your case. I’m a Certified Tax Resolution Specialist (CTRS), a designation which is awarded to individuals who have met the educational, experience, and examination requirements prescribed by ASTPS. The CTRS designation is restricted to Enrolled Agent, CPA or Attorney members in good standing of the American Society of Tax problem Solvers, who have proven expertise to resolve a wide range of tax problems. A Certified Tax Resolution Specialist must exhibit high moral and professional character. A CTRS represents clients before various taxing authorities to negotiate favorable solutions to their tax problems, therefore a reputation for truthfulness, credibility and adherence to ethical principles are mandatory. I was recognized by the St. Louis Small Business Monthly as one of the 2014 Top STL Business Accountants for my dedication to helping small businesses grow. The ASTPS presented me the 2016 Top Practitioner Award. This award is presented to ASTPS members who consistently work in tax problem resolution and demonstrate a dedication to ASTPS principles. They work to enhance the accounting industry’s image and maintain their skills through continuing professional education. Top Practitioners inspire and motivate by action and example as well as demonstrate intellectual curiosity and creativity in solving IRS problems, professional and ethical integrity, ardent client advocacy, and dedication to doing what is right. I’ve been a frequent speaker at national practitioner conferences in various cities. My book, “Stop Hiding from the IRS” was published in 2018 and became an Amazon #1 Bestseller.
