About Ailyn S. Rodriguez
Ailyn S. Rodriguez is the president and founder of Prime Tax Solutions, a full-service CPA firm that focuses mainly on tax resolution. Ailyn’s clients comprise mostly of individual, and self-employed taxpayers. Before opening her own practice, Ailyn worked in mid-sized CPA and tax resolution firms in the Orange County area. She also has extensive experience in handling and preparing individual, S-Corp, partnership, trust, estate, and non-profit tax returns. Before getting her CPA license, she started out as a bookkeeper, and has experience in financial statements preparation, payroll, sales, and property taxes reporting for small business owners. She also worked for a few years with a Tax Attorney in handling tax resolution and controversy cases. During her career as a CPA, Ailyn has represented several taxpayers in front of the IRS, FTB, EDD, and other taxing agencies during audits. She has helped a lot of her clients in resolving their tax issues.
Because of her background, Ailyn opened a new division for her practice which deals mainly with handling tax resolution cases. Ailyn handles audit representation, penalty abatements, offers in compromise, filing delinquent tax returns, removing liens, and bank levies.
Being a daughter of a banker, Ailyn always grew up in the accounting world. At a very young age, she remembers clearly how her father would compute compounded interest on a loan without using any calculator. She graduated with “Cum Laude” honors in 1996 with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of San Carlos, one of the leading accounting schools in the Philippines. In high school and college, she was part of her school’s volleyball varsity team. In high school, she served as the Team Captain. She got her C.P.A. license in the Philippines in 1998. She migrated to the U.S.A. sometime in 2008, and got her C.P.A. license in the state of California in 2015.
When asked why she chose to specialize in taxes in her career as a CPA, Ailyn will always say that she loves to help other people. She loves to engage with other people in conversations, and see where she can help them. In her experience, she realized that she can always have the biggest impact by helping her clients, families, and friends when she helps them with plan and save on their taxes and being able to help them strategize their finances properly, especially the self-employed people.
During her free time, Ailyn enjoys going to the gym, trying new restaurants, and watching movies with her family. She also loves to study world history, and loves to travel to other countries, and watch history documentaries. Currently, Ailyn is studying to complete her Masters of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University. She hopes to graduate early next year.
