I was handling my wife's illness for several years and didn't addressed my taxes. I started to get letters from the IRS as well as two federal tax liens against me. I reached out to the firms you hear on the radio and the ads thinking they were the best place to help, but their fees added up with every twist and turn. By the time I got a final quote, they said I may still owe taxes, and their fees were about 50% of what I owed in taxes. I tried to resolve the tax issues on my own and things only got worse.
