SPEA Tax

Shanti helped me dealing with an IRS bill. The bill was over $100,000 and I was panicked. Actually, panicked was an understatement. It was something to do with my house that I sold. My previous tax preparer didn't do my tax return correctly. Shanti asked for several documents and I signed Power of Attorney to let her deal with the IRS. To be honest I don't know what she did, but obviously she is experienced in dealing with this matter. The process was quicker than I thought. I received a new IRS letter and almost got a heart attack. But I was so relieved when it said the new bill was zero. Zilch, nada. I reread it again. Were my eyes fooling me? I called Shanti because I didn't understand it. She explained that the IRS agreed to cancel the bill and I was off the hook. I got the news on a Monday. Let me tell ya, it was the best week in a loooong time!
