Pedro G. Rincon is an experienced and dedicated Certified Public Accountant (CPA) of Hispanic origin who owns his own CPA firm, Pedro G. Rincon CPA. He has a broad background in finances and tax compliance and resolution, with expertise in various areas of taxation, such as federal, international, multi-state and local tax compliance and audit resolution.
Pedro’s career began after serving three consecutive tours of duty in Viet Nam. He returned to the U.S. as a Marine Corps Sergeant, enrolled in Menlo College, married and began a family. He graduated Cum Laude from Menlo College in 1973 and received his MBA in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1984.
Since then, he has worked for various prestigious firms and companies, such as Ernst and Ernst CPAs, Intel Corporation, Varian Associates, Sun Microsystems, Philips Electronics, and NXP Semiconductors. He was also involved in developing the basis of the federal Accelerated Cost Recovery System (ACRS) depreciation method codified in the 1986 tax code, and in bringing together a coalition of high-tech companies to cooperate with state and county authorities attempting to realize a more accurate method for valuing high-tech machinery and equipment for property taxation.
Pedro is passionate about being the best he can be at whatever task he undertakes. He also enjoys solving complex problems and challenges. He is also an avid reader, traveler, and likes to spend time with his family and friends.
Pedro became disabled due to health problems in 2011, but after his recuperation, he began his own CPA firm for a second time. He is seen by friends and family as someone that cannot be kept down.
