Sonya Barrett

Sonya graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1987, with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She began her career with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in 1988, as a Revenue Agent in the agency’s Small Business/Self-Employed Division. For over 12 years, she specialized in audits for individuals with businesses, partnerships, and corporate entities. In 1999, Sonya received her CPA license and began public practice in February of 2000. In 2022, Sonya received her certification as a Tax Representative Consultant with the Tax Rep Network. She is dedicated towards helping clients work with the IRS to resolve their tax-related issues. During the year she attends multiple continuing education classes to keep her skills up to date with resolving her clients IRS tax problems.
